Notre Dame's Kabuki Dance with Obama and the Culture of Death

Apparently Keyes has been arrested again. It will be interesting to see how this turns out.

It wasn’t about the invitation,it was about the honorary degree.

Both. They are not supposed to be given platforms for speeches advancing their agenda. ND is going against church policy on this. Around 71 bishops have said this.

Kabuki Dance? I’d describe it as more of a lap dance.

There was word on another thread that bail will be denied.

If so, then we are quite far along this dark path.

I agree, though some have said that the degree is the issue.

Being unfamilar with that aspect of Roman Catholic theology, I am not sure.

As Obama sashays and saunters across the stage to receive his honorary doctorate, all of the non-Catholic and anti-Catholic faculty and board members who think it doesn’t matter whether Catholic teachings are taught to students at Notre Dame should contemplate the following homework:

Ironic. And interesting that in the 1960s professors and priests at Notre Dame, Georgetown, Fordham, and CUA predicted exactly these kinds of problems by opening up the doors to the Trojan Horse of secularization, de-Catholicization, and supposed academic freedom. Like Quigley's article on Georgetown. Could they have ever known just how absurd that Trojan Horse would become???

Why is he on the board of an organization like that? More "dialogue"?

It may actually be discussed in Fr. Vincent Miceli's book The Antichrist, if I am recalling correctly, about the developing anti-Catholicism and anti-Church attitudes at Catholic colleges and universities then (about 30 years ago or so). I remember the older priests warning about these things. One in particular from Fordham during the 1970s when it was still somewhat shocking hearing Confessions of abortions. Times change...

Setting:

Obama standing in front of the graduates at Notre Dame with out-streched arms holding a miniature casket of a freshly aborted child. He pronounces to them as he did to Harry Reid “I have a gift”, meaning the aborted child.

The hundreds of so called “Catholics” in the audience overlook the aborted child and applaud and give adulation to Obama commenting to each other that he truly is gifted and wonderful.

Tragically Ironic. “There is none so blind as those who will not see.”

As I said, tragic irony.

Good call on Solzhenitsyn. His Warning to the West certainly applies.

On the cartoons, there will probably be a media feeding frenzy of political cartoons and caricatures of Obama at Notre Dame, featuring all kinds of half blasphemous and sacrilegious images at the expense of Obama, Notre Dame, and Catholicism. Just like his episode covering over the cross and the name of Jesus at Georgetown. I'll send a link in a private message for forwarding any cartoon ideas or caricatures.
