I would like to be able to say I met some wonderful Catholics who changed my life, but the truth is I came to God by a rather humiliating route. It is interesting that most of the conversion stories I have heard (including my own) don't involve a personal connection with a Catholic. I didn't meet any wonderful, devout, faithful, inspiring Catholics until after I started attending a Catholic Church. I suppose it is because serious Catholics may spend most of their time in Catholic institutions, while cafeteria Catholics are the ones that Protestants are most likely to encounter.

I saw a huge building with many side rooms like chapels in a cathedral, and the thought came into my mind: somewhere here there is a place for you. Immediately a sense of peace replaced the doubts I had had for years, and the picture was confirmed when I walked into Westminster Cathedral some weeks afterwards, and was overwhelmed with a sense of Gods presence.Another Eucharistic miracle. I bet the number of conversions prompted or assisted by our Lord's gracious presence in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar is HUGE.

Thanks. I’ll be watching. Monday night programs are my favorite on EWTN.

A lot of wisdom here in the Monsignor’s words.
