Featured Term (selected at random):
GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
The seven forms of supernatural initiative conferred with the reception of sanctifying grace. They are in the nature of supernatural reflexes, or reactive instincts, that spontaneously answer to the divine impulses of grace almost without reflection but always with full consent. The gifts are wisdom (sapientia), understanding (intellectus), knowledge (scientia), fortitude or courage (fortitudo), counsel (consilium), piety or love (pietas), and fear of the Lord (timor Domini).

The very best reason to abandon this “CWOTD” effort is the volume of poison injected by the anti-Catholic rabble.

These are not the Gifts of the Holy Spirit that were mentioned at the top of the thread. They are the Carismatic Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Please check the footnote that I posted also.
- 4
- 3 There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit;
- 5
- there are different forms of service but the same Lord;
- 6
- there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone.
- 7
- To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit.
- 8
- To one is given through the Spirit the expression of wisdom; to another the expression of knowledge according to the same Spirit;
- 9
- to another faith by the same Spirit; to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit;
- 10
- to another mighty deeds; to another prophecy; to another discernment of spirits; to another varieties of tongues; to another interpretation of tongues.
- 11
- But one and the same Spirit produces all of these, distributing them individually to each person as he wishes.
Footnote:
3 [4-6] There are some features common to all charisms, despite their diversity: all are gifts (charismata), grace from outside ourselves; all are forms of service (diakoniai), an expression of their purpose and effect; and all are workings (energemata), in which God is at work. Paul associates each of these aspects with what later theology will call one of the persons of the Trinity, an early example of "appropriation."

You do have a point. But I believe keeping it an open thread is a good thing.

May the Lord God Almighty fiercely and emphatically rebuke such an attitude and spirit in the Name of The Lord Jesus, The Christ. Amen; Brother. Eph 4:30 Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God,
by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
Eph 4:31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger
and clamor and slander be put away from you,
along with all malice.
Eph 4:32 Be kind to one another,
tender-hearted, forgiving each other,
just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

I think even a lot of Pentecostals are
exceedingly unprepared for The Lord to begin to back up HIS BIBLICAL PRIORITIES with signs and wonders
AND CONSEQUENCES following much more swiftly than ever before in history.
And most other denominations have even LESS of a clue about what’s looming on such scores.
Going to be interesting.

Just for discussion. What if the whore of Babylon, spoken about in Revelation, is not some new age religion but the current institutional “christian” religious systems, and I don’t mean just the roman catholic church.

It is not the Catholic Church. The rest of the discussion is irrelevant to me.
