If there is anything amiss with these meditations on the four last things, it is that the author chooses not to dwell on the saving power of God and His Divine mercy. God is Love, but in these tracts His Divine Judgement is put to the fore.

Which is doubtless the writer's aim. Fear, nay stark terror of God is the beginning of wisdom.
