Here is a screen capture of the letter that the Bishop of Phoenix Thomas Olmsted sent to Notre Dame President Father Jenkins yesterday (on the Feast of the Annunciation) and has now permitted to be published today:

"It is a public act of disobedience to the Bishops of the United States."
"I pray that you come to see the grave mistake of your decision, and the way it undercuts the Church's proclamation of the Gospel of Life in our day."
Mike Phelan, Director of Marriage and Respect Life for the Diocese of Phoenix, introduced the letter this way:
"Due to the fact that the invitation by Notre Dames president, Fr. John Jenkins, to President Barack Obama to give the commencement speech at Notre Dames May graduation is a public act causing widespread public scandal due to the US Presidents clear support of policies which fail to protect and even attack innocent human life, Bishop Olmsted has given permission to release the attached email text publicly."
And now you have it, too. My comprehensive coverage of the Notre Dame scandal is available here.

Things can't get any more upside-down without being made right-side-up again.
Finally a Bishop with a spine.
The Church should take action against Fr. Jenkins by disallowing him from saying Mass and restricting him from other priestly functions.
Can we get teleprompter to say:
“I was born in Kenya. I misled and lied to American people. I resigns and I am sorry for trying to convert US to USSA.
God Bless America and good byeeeee.”
Finally, a American bishop that Catholics can be proud of.
ping
Is this the picture of the Bishop or Fr. Jenkins?
My brother just heard that Ayers has been invited to speak at Boston College.
Anyone know about this?
If so, they aren’t subtle are they. First a sword in the heart of the Virgin Mother, and now a feint at the heart of another Catholic college.
Satan is clearly outing himself.
I should have labeled it, but the picture above is of Bishop Olmsted.
Below is a picture of Fr. Jenkins:
Thank You Bishop Olmsted.
That’s pretty sad for Boston College.
The decent thing for him (BO) to do would be to withdraw gracefully.
“”It is a public act of disobedience to the Bishops of the United States.”
and
“The Church should take action against Fr. Jenkins by disallowing him from saying Mass and restricting him from other priestly functions.”
“...the Bishops of the United States” and “The Church”? By what right does the Bishop of Phoenix comment on the actions of a priest under obedience, I assume, to the Bishop of Fort Wayne-South Bend and are the “Bishops of the United States” superior to the Bishop of Fort Wayne-South Bend within his own diocese? How can “The Church”, other than in the person of the Pope or the Bishop of Fort Wayne-South Bend sanction the clerucal president of Notre Dame?
Interesting ecclesiology, bof. This issue is very instructive to the Orthodox, clerical or otherwise, watching this situation play out; one more Latin peculiarity to be concerned about!
If Fr. Jenkins in any order, and who is his superior?
It is very heartening to see a bishop from an unrelated diocese to reprimand him, but we need his ordinary to do so.
Thanks to the GOOD HOLY Priests and Bishops and PRAYERS FOR CONVERSION for “Fr” Jenkins and reese. Gos will NOT be mocked.
“Fr” Jenkins will be taking away ANY MORAL AUTHORITY of the Catholic Church to talk against abortion!!!!
Obama is NOT DECENT!!
