The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
(II Corinthians 4:4)
Today's modern person is suffering from an identity crisis. Housewives are weighing whether to work out of the home and be a breadwinner or stay home and be a mom, or both. Businessmen are torn between the busy demands of the office or company and the needs of their families. Teenagers don't know whether to follow the world or the church, or both. People at work have been wondering about you: is he a Christian or not? Which of those hats he is wearing is real? Does she believe or doesn't she? One minute she invites me to church and she later tells an off-color story. Who is this person, anyway?
We need not be confused about how we should live or who we should be. We should be conformed to the image of Christ. We are to walk and talk and act and look like Jesus Christ. An aerospace engineer with NASA, Bob Slocum, said, "I became convinced that Jesus Christ is the God behind the physical universe. The important question then became not whether I thought God was real, but whether God thought I was real. The idea took hold that in Christ, God does love me and takes me seriously; and I began the experiment of placing my life in His hands and setting out to discover what it means to live for him." There are three views: the person you think you are, the person others think you are, and the person God knows you are and can be through Jesus. Will the real you please stand up and identify yourself?
Awww jeeshhh WhatNot....sometimes I am what I am suppose to be and sometimes I get angry and mess up...I’m just a work in progress.
John 19:30
"When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar He said, 'It is finished' and He bowed His head and gave up the ghost."
Regardless of how bad we have messed up, we can now rest, in Him.
I'm working on the beard, but I'll need to lose about 50 lbs and buy a toupee.
Let me know when you get the water into wine thing down. We have a spare room for you.
>>We are to walk and talk and act and look like Jesus Christ.
Does that include driving the money changers out of the temple?
