The pain he suffered IS part of the atonement.

Ya’ll have taught that He has already suffered all He will suffer.
Or is this just another of the “minor” difference, among followers of Christ,that ya’ll think do not matter?

Yes, actually, the reason Catholics (for example) put crosses above the altar is that the atonement of Christ was not achieved by his resurrection, but by his suffering and death.
