Look up “Millerites”

The Rev. Miller predicted the end of the world, several times.

Of course, he was wrong.

Miller's followers formed the 7th Day Adventist and the Jehovah's Witness's after that.

I respect anyone who searches for spiritual truth. I am not putting anyone down, but -—

As a Catholic I can tell you that my church respects the Baptism of nearly every other Christian Faith. We do NOT accept the 7th Day Adventist or Jehovah Baptisms.

BTW, I usually think it is wrong for the various faiths to attack each other on this Forum, we need to work together. However, the Jehovah's refuse to vote, anyway, so -— well, they don't count. Not sure of the 7th Day folks where voting is concerned.

When they come by, I get out my Rosary and say that I will pray with them if they will pray with me. They usually leave, lol.

I think GOD recognizes many different faiths, if they first recognize Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the World they Love GOD with all thier heart, mind and soul, and love thier neighbor as themselves.

One thing that has always kind of nagged at me was the Sabbath DAY..It is in the Commandments of GOD and I cannot find scriptual basis in why it was changed.

I tell Witnesses and Mormons that I’m a born again Christian. That usually clears them out pretty fast, LOL.

JW's will run if you ask to pray with them in the name of Jesus

That is untrue, SDA baptisms are Trinitarian and are accepted as valid baptisms by the Catholic Church. The JW’s are not valid.

I’ve made the Sign of the Cross in front of them at the door and asked them to come in and listen to my information about my church — then I will listen to their information.

Is this church policy? Can you give us either a specific or an approximate date that the Catholic Church began to “respect” the baptisms of other Christian faiths?
