Darwin's Dangerous Doctrine
ICR ^ | February 12, 2009 | Henry Morris III, D.Min

early every candidate for pastoral ordination has been challenged with the charge given by the Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 4:2-3:

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears. So why will more than 10,000 pastors publically endorse evolutionary naturalism as "compatible" with Christianity during the month of February 2009?1 One word: Darwin...

“...dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.... that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom....”

—Abraham Lincoln, Gettysburg Address, 1863.

“But then with me the horrid doubt always arises whether the convictions of man’s mind, which has been developed from the mind of the lower animals, are of any value or at all trustworthy. Would any one trust in the convictions of a monkey's mind, if there are any convictions in such a mind?”

—Charles Darwin, Letter to William Graham, 1881. Died 1882.

I find it interesting that Google chooses to celebrate Darwin’s birthday and snub Abe today.

Hardly surprising. When are conservatives going to start their own search engine!

10k pastors endorse some sort of ID or theistic evolution, that’s great... sometimes it feels like those of us in this camp are alone because those on the young earth or atheist extremes are so vocal. The rest of the article is somewhat silly though, to blame Darwin? He was just an observer, not a creator. Anyway, science has long ago moved on from Darwin just like the study of gravity has long ago moved on from Newton. It is good for the kindergarten view, but that’s about it.

Even here, every other article seems to be about Darwin.. even those who are virulently anti-evolution sure do give him a lot of attention and help keep his name on the front page.

It seems that some "Christians" have evolved into leftist tactics to attack that which they don't understand and fear.

They knew your gang was coming 2000 years ago:

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears."
"Anyway, science has long ago moved on from Darwin..."

So true. The genetic code that God provided to prevent the evolution that sinful men would crave was discovered, which should have ended the debate if the self-proclaimed 'scientists' were honest, but they persist with myriad contrivances in defiance of the overwhelming evidence.

“It seems that some “Christians” have evolved into leftist tactics to attack that which they don’t understand and fear.”

Indeed. If evolution is easily-debunked hogwash, why have creationists been eating their own hands over it since Darwin’s time? (I ask the same of anti-creation evolutionsts who treat theism like a danger to all of science, by the way.)

I think the primary issue here is that godless secular humanist liberals have hijacked all things public, from science to law and the cult of evolution is the mechanism they’ve used to hijack science.

The NEA won’t allow dissent, it can not stand up to Christianity, so it has to ban it outright.
