I attended mass today and it was offered by a Japanese priest.......he was talking about this saint today. I do not believe I have ever met a Japenese Catholic priest before. Odd that he was there on this saint’s day.
When one looks at the date of this story — in the 16th Century, it is truly amazing that Japan was so very Catholic at that time, long before the Europeans settled the new North American continent.
