Father, I come to You on this Lord's day, reflecting on the lack of leadership we have in this country. In Washington, our elected officials do not really represent us; rather, they represent their own self interests and political ambitions. In a day in which it is crucial that they stand up against evil; they are AWOL. And, as such, they illustrate why man-made government will never prevail. Only when Shiloh comes will we see perfect peace and perfect governance. Until then, we pray that You would direct our leaders, give them courage to do what is right, and the desire to do so. For those who refuse, I pray failure for their policies so that the nation will see the foolishness of their thinking. If we are to survive the next four years, the people must wake up. If we are to retain freedom, they must wake up quickly or all will be lost. It is in Your hands.

Prayers needed this Lord’s day

Lord, I detest some of the things our President has done in his first week in office. He has already caused great sorrow in this world and in heaven because of the rebellious viewpoints he holds. It is not surprising that he has done these things, but it is grieving. All I pray for him is that You would change his mind so that he will reverse course. That will only happen if You save his soul. Until then, protect us from evil.

Amen, Blogger. Amen.

Lord, Whom have we in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that we desire besides You. Our flesh and our hearts fail; but You, our God, are the strength of our hearts, and our portions forever. Save us, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen. (Psalm 73)

I pray that our great nation and its people will be protected by this Evil One who has no business holding the office that he won by trickery.

Father God, my heart is weighted down with sorrow at all the things our new president is already setting in motion. Our tax money will now fund the murdering of innocent babies. White males are now to be openly despised and discriminated against. The middle class is expected to continue to work extra hard paying taxes, too worried about putting food on the table to notice that they are being robbed. America's wonderful health care system is about to be dismantled, all in the name of equality. Lord, our federal government couldn't even manage the turnover of the airwaves to digital. They failed to print enough coupons and we are supposed to trust them with our health? I fear that a white male, needing heart bypass surgery, is going to find that there are not enough “coupons” for him.
God, you have said in your word that those who suppress the knowledge of God, and worship the creation rather than the creator, will find their minds given over to depravity and futile thinking. It seems America's leaders are indeed futile in their thinking. They act like they are so wise, and yet it seems plain to me that they are fools. If it be your will, Lord, please save us from the folly of these fools! I pray Barak Obama would recognize the fools around him for what they are, and seek to find true wisdom from above. You are the only one who is wise. Give those in Washington, who have received wisdom from you, the courage to stand against this foolishness and evil. I also pray for the peace of Jerusalem. AMEN

My Adorable Jesus, it was not Pilate, no, it was our sins that condemned Thee to die. I beseech Thee by the merits of Thy sorrowful journey,to assist Barack Obama — that he love may Thee, especially that he may love Thee more than himself. May he repent with his whole heart for having offended Thee. Grant that he may love Thee always, then do with him what Thou wilt.

Father, send our nation a voice that will set fast in the hearts of the people that You are God. Set the opportunity before us to turn from our iniquities and to revere You as the Most High. Let Your presence burn hot in Obama's heart and reveal to him the demonic forces surrounding him. Give him charge to drive off the evil surrounding him, and bring his thoughts, his authority, and his leadership wholly aligned with Your strategies for us. Have mercy upon us, Lord, stir up in us obedience to Your word. Send Your prophets to minister to us and lead us out of the shadow of death. In Christ's holy name, amen.
