Angels are all around us. Tonight I know that angels helped me get out of a fix in our four inches of snow here on my way to church. (Got caught on an incline and couldn’t get started again — until four gentlemen helped me.)
I believe that they can appear as “just people”.
Several times in my life, I’ve had strangers “appear out of nowhere” and help me.
By the time I turned to thank them, they were just *gone*.
Many years ago, hubby was driving the Harley up a steep mountain and decided to “crack the throttle” without warning.
I had no backrest behind me, and in what *seemed* like a slow-motion eternity, I felt myself coming off the back of the bike.
Just as I stopped being able to feel the foot pegs touching my feet and I could look down and see pavement speeding beneath me, *something* incredibly strong yet as gentle as could be -shoved- me forward back onto the passenger seat.
[the touch felt “warm and comforting”]
I immediately grabbed onto hubby’s jacket belt for dear life.
I was not much of a believer or a practicing Christian, back then.
Mercy & grace.
There’s also a story of when I was 3 years old and lost on the dark streets of Norfolk VA.
Not ready to tell that one, yet.
I am not surprised that there is such an occurrance like this one. I think that it is probable that the man was the girl’s gaurdian angel.
Yes. Angels all around. Glad to hear you got home safely tonight.
Have any of you ever read the novel by Frank Peretti, “This Present Darkness”? Peretti is a Christian writer and the story is about the spiritual fight between the forces of good and evil (angels and demons) that is going on all around us, and it just may change the way you look at the world and what is happening and the way you pray and ask God to intervene. Not only is it a good read, but the message is powerful as well.
