This ex-priest is the nutcase running the SOA (School of the Americas) protest every year at Ft Benning. Less than 1% of the schools students have been involved in anything but the leftist BS continues.
If anything, that only 1% of the people were is a testiment to the influence we've had on a part of the world that defined the phrase "Banana Republic".

unrepentant sinfulness This is what Father Z. is sad about: that Fr. Roy has no intention to recant, making excommunication necessary. Father Z is very orthodox and wouldn't be supportive of female priesthood.

And don’t forget Fr. Mitch Pacwa - a wonderful Jesuit - who wears cowboy boots!

I have heard that St. Francis Xavier's cassock got into such a state that his friends wanted to replace it, but knew if they gave him a new one he would give it away. So they STOLE his old one and put the new one in its place. Similar story about Blessed Titus Brandsma, O.Carm.. His habit had gotten so worn that his Prior had to order him to get a new one. He did so under the vow of obedience, of course. :-)

May God enlighten his heart and open his eyes to the truth so that he may recant his heresies and return to the communion of the Church..

Oh, yes! He’s always talking about how he wanted to be a cowboy when he was young, and last week talked with his guests about the horseback riding opportunities offered by Wyoming Catholic College in their wilderness programs. He served the Maronite parish here in the Dallas area for a while before EWTN, and still goes back there for special occasions (I hear it announced on our local Catholic radio). I guess he got them during his time here in Texas. Turn on EWTN Live tonight and notice when they do a long shot, you can see his boots.

Well, if he ever comes to Atlanta I can put him on a good horse.
(He'll have to ride in an English saddle though!)
