Just don’t shop there. I haven’t for years.
Years ago I was told they donate to Planned Parenthood or some other abortion mill...I have never shopped there for that and they don’t sell the stuff I want to buy, as well.

This company really pisses me off every year at this time.Boycotts their sorry french owned behinds.
They are American owned, and that is what makes their position on Christmas even worse.

You have a problem with that. They are using the word Christmas, however, there are other holidays at this time of year. There are many Americans celebrating Hannukah, and I don't see them complaining that Target doesn't use the word Hannukah, exclusively. (Hannukah, btw, is the 22nd through the 29th.) If you don't like how the store markets this time of year, just don't shop there...they'll get the idea, but to believe a major retailer will cater to one religion w/out recognizing there are shoppers of other religions buying gifts at this time of year, is a bit naive, IMHO.

Target lost me a few years ago. I went in to buy some Christmas cards and found they were selling December 25th cards. They may have changed the policy by now but I have a memory like an elephant and they will not get one red cent from me. I try to shop in little specialty boutiques anyway. I really feel for the small shop owners this year.
At least since the early 80's. I believe Target was actually founded by Dayton's to sell lower-scale merchandise. I used to work a block away from the Nicollet Mall (flagship) store and went there frequently - gorgeous store and very expensive.

As for Target or any other company....when questioning a company find out who the CEO is and who he or she has running the ship and find their bibliography. Then check to see who they donated the most money to during each election cycle. :)

I’m not crazy about Target because everything there is made in China, but sometimes I do find some small objects there that are useful (Christmas ornaments, supplies for the yard, clothes for my young son).
I have no problem with the statement Target sent. They are acknowledging Christmas, and “Christmas Wrapped,” with the idea of saving money, is a good concept for this year.
We are in an area which really is extraordinarily diverse. I see a few little Stars of David in the Target stores, but nothing about Islam, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Hindu, Bahai, or any of the other religions observed in our area. I’m a Christian but I don’t see what you’re upset about.
I like to shop at Target for lots of things. Never go to Walmart. Some of the reason is accessibility. The Walmart in our city is so crowded both with shoppers and with merchandise, that it is hard to get around inside. Also their parking lots is too small.
Target stores are usually neater looking and easier to navigate. My impression is that Target merchandise is a higher level than Walmart. I don’t buy many clothes at Target, however.
