BTW-Did anyone else noticed that while the focus is suppose to be on the Old Testament, most of the quotes are from the New. I'd loved to see some of the interpretations.
Psa 11:5 The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked, And the one who loves violence His soul hates.
Psa 11:6 Upon the wicked He will rain snares; Fire and brimstone and burning wind will be the portion of their cup.
Not very ecumentical sounding.

I think the author was linking the Old Testament references with happenings in the New Testament.
I know you have heard of this — typology.
