My suggestion would be for them to seek out the Protestant ministers who share these pro-life views and join forces with them. That will send an overpowering message to Washington.

Looks like a fool’s errand to me. The vast bulk of the people whom they’re talking with made their minds up long ago. The politicians will gladhand the Bishops and be ever so nice, but that’s about all that will come of this.

I think the Bishops would be better off talking with their own Parishioners more often and encouraging Catholics to have more children. We aren’t going to win this in the political sphere, but we might win it in the demographic one.
