I agree with regard to the act of homesexual intercourse... but isn’t the definition of sodomy so broad as to include ANY act outside of vaginal intercourse (sorry to be graphic, but we are all adults...)? In other words, any husband/wife activity outside of THE act solely aimed at procreation could, by definition, be categorized as sodomy. I think we could all think of a number of bedroom behaviors that are frequently engaged in even between the most traditional of married couples that, in the true sense of the word, are sodomy. Please, correct me if I’m wrong — it may help me with my guilty concience!! ;o)

The sodomy that is so offensive to God are acts committed between people of the same sex - be it two men or two women.

If you are concerned about what God has to say about sex within marriage, He tells us that "Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled" (Hebrews 13:4). This would be marriage according to God's definition, not man's.

What you describe is the legal definition of sodomy in those jurisdictions where sodomy is still a punishable crime. (i.e. The Military) Even between consenting adults of different sexes, sodomy as defined above is punishable under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, albeit rarely prosecuted unless there is also adultery involved.
