That was excellent, Jen. Thank you for posting it. Consider yourself added.
I have been contemplating the election results and what our response as Christians should be. I found the story of Saul and David to be helpful. Saul was an evil ruler, but David recognized that Saul had been appointed by God. Saul persecuted David, but David did not seek to harm or defeat Saul. David knew he would be exalted in God's time. He waited for God to remove Saul. And what did David do while waiting? Well, he hid out. He fled from Saul. While not directly assaulting Saul, David built his own army, and fought his own battles. Small at first and then as his army grew in strength, he defeated more and more of his enemies. Even when he had opportunity to kill Saul, he withheld his hand.
So what are we to do? I believe we pray for the salvation of Barak. We, as the video said, pray that we will not be harmed by any evil perpetuated by Obama. We don't battle him directly. We go about fighting the battles nearby. Small at first. Neighborhood crime. Get on city councils, county commissions, run for sheriff etc. Then larger, state legislature and governorships. Don't rail against Barak, but work our way up the chain. Build our own schools, health clinics and strengthen our churches. In God's time, he will bring down evil men.
Lord, may we be ready when it's time.
