For some time, through FReepmail, several FReepers have provided each other with a way to share prayer requests and praises. Now that the Non-denominational category has been established at Freerepublic, we are offering a weekly thread in which posts of your requests and praises are welcome. Anyone, regardless of denomination, is welcome to bring their concerns here. The one thing that we hope to establish here, is that at a set time on Sunday evening, 11:00 p.m. in the Eastern time zone, 10:00 p.m. Central time, 9:00 p.m. Mountain time, and 8:00 p.m. Pacific time, we will as a group, lift these concerns up in prayer. Individual prayer at any time is, of course, encouraged. If anyone desires to post an "anonymous" request, just word it in a manner such as: " Please lift up my prayer (or praise) for a personal concern."
My ex-husband has been in the hospital with diverticulitis. Tonight he has a ruptured intestine. He is in great pain and is facing surgery with a colostomy as soon as they can throw him on the operating table. It is apparently very serious—the contamination of the peritoneal cavity could be fatal.
Please pray for him to be spared. The kids and I don’t want to lose him.

Our prayers will seek the Peace of the Lord, that His love will carrying this family forward as they trust in Him.
One of our best friends died Saturday. It was sudden but he had had a heart transplant a few years back and was sick on and off since then. Please pray for his wife and family. This is the second husband she’s lost to death, one in a car accident. May God be glorified.

The Lord’s Spirit draws close to those who grieve when they take their burden to Him. We pray this Lady will lean upon the Lord, to have His Peace that passes all understanding.
A cousin of mine just received news that there is a kidney for him and he is now on his way to get his transplant.

Transplant surgery is so routine, we tend to lose track of the fact that some do fail. Let’s offer prayer for this transplant surgery to succeed completely, to restore the health of this fellow American.

I’m here, and I guess my hubby and I REALLY need your prayers tonight concerning his occupation..big changes coming, and it looks as if he’s being left out of the loop.
But praise be to God, He’s STILL in control, even when things look the most out of control.
Two prayer requests:
One: Please join me in praise for a wonderful ladies retreat in North Carolina this weekend. A wonderful time joining the ladies in prayer and Bible study.
Two: I just learned my son is deploying to Iraq. He’ll be there until next Sept. (I think).
I have a prayer request. My son is leaving this week for another tour of duty in Iraq. He will be gone for a year. Please pray for his safety, and for comfort for his wife and small children.

Lord, thank you for Jemian and Color Country’s sons and for their bravery, and for the bravery of all of our armed servicemen. Please bless these young men as they deploy, and bring them safely home to their loving families.

Dear Lord, we pray that you will guide this great nation back to its Christian roots. We pray that you will keep the United States free from all who would bring ill to her shores and keep all of us safe from evil.
We pray especially during this election cycle that honesty will prevail at the polls and that those people who would defraud or disenfranchise voters would suffer the legal calamities that they deserve.

Thank you. We have a prayer vigil at our church for election day. We will be praying a similar prayer. It’s time we all realized, we believe, that we need to be very specific in asking God for help in this election. The stakes are very very high. Prayer joins all of us together. The future of our nation is in jeopardy as the liberals try to bring this country to its knees in socialistic ideologies. It’s time for all Christians to unite and bring our pleas to God, our Heavenly Father.

We cry out tonight to our Lord our God for forgiveness and mercy. We ask in Your Holy Name for these requests to be granted safety, strength in spirit and mind. Those who are asking for healing heal them, those who are asking for direction direct them, those that ask for safety keep them safe, whatever the plea grant the request in Your Name.
We thank You for the blessings You have already bestowed upon us, we praise You that these things are already granted.

Prayers for my wife to hopefully get the job she will be interviewing for this week at a great local charitable organization that focuses on feeding children across the world and does so with a Christian theme first and foremost.

Lord, please accept our prayers for all who have placed a request for prayers from their brothers and sisters. May all those with loved ones leaving for Iraq be comforted by Your guiding hand and all others prayers here and all over the world, who’s needs you know before we ever pray be heard and Your will, not ours, be done.
