Apparently scientists would have us believe that there are constant, immutable, eternal laws that determine how the universe was made and how it works. Almost like some kinda Logos or something...
Wait, you don't mean to suggest that God made the universe, do you? Don't be silly! We'll have none of THAT nonsense in this modern, enlightened, and highly sophisticated age. ;)
