No, not at all. Why?

***McCain did the right thing. My heart feels good. ***

Amen.

Everything I am reading about her points to Palin being a strong choice.

I’m sure her strong faith is a force in her battle with political corruption.

I’m loving how the Dems are howling about her lack of experience when she appears to have as much or even Obama.

Protestant.

Assembly of God.

Pretty serious Prods....around here they are Pentecost folks and very very socially conservative and unafraid to walk it.

Assembly of God, Southern Baptist, MO Synod Lutheran, PCA, Church of Christ TX and TN.....these are non apostate denominations in the Prod world

(for your knowledge)

“Not exactly Baptist - but still quite good!!!”

Not exactly Baptist like, say Bill Clinton? Maybe better. (Apologies to my Baptist friends!)

Drjoe1 ... since August 30, 2008.

Grow up. The Vice President has nothing to do with what's taught in public schools.

Welcome to FR.

Do you perchance have a screen name over at DU?

Looks like expository preaching/teaching to me. (Drjoel, this means that someone is explaining a particular section of the bible.)

Sounds like any nitpicker is going to have to pick nits with the scripture being explained and whether the teacher properly explains it and applies it.

Not Catholic. CNN reporter got it wrong. Protestant but not sure which denomination.

Can't expect anyone at CNN to understand the difference.

if God ain’t White, He ain’t right? That if God is not White that he can’t be our God and that he must help strike down the Black race? You mean no White Theology Movement?

How anyone could think the "If God ain't Black, then he must be opposed and cast down" of black liberation theology is even remotely Christian.

Evangelical is not a denomination.

Frequently discussed. "Evangelical" as an adjective is getting less and less useful.
Charismatic is usually

Ditto charismatic. Could be anything from John Piper to the Word 'o Faith Apostolic raving heretics.

I think her being Catholic would hurt the Obama bin Biden ticket, since it would be so very easy for American Catholics to see the difference in the two tickets. Plus, with the Bishops growing backbones, they would be able to indicate she conforms to Church teaching while Pelosi/Biden/etc. do not. It would be quite powerful, IMHO.

Thanks.

Currently I am encouraged by the fact we dealt with the Auburn Ave* mess like we did.

*For those who aren’t aware of what that is, AA is an form of legalism cloaked in Reformed Theological terms. We defrocked a pastor over this issue. His church, and maybe some others, left the denomination. The presbytery was also censured over not dealing with that pastor earlier....
AA has been deemed heretical by most, if not all, conservative Presbyterian denominations.

Great question! One I ask myself when boneheads like Chrissy Mathews or Herr Olbermann repeat the Left-wing bleating that Obama is not a Muslim but a Christian.

Unlike any Christian I ever met.
