The Emerging Global 'Church'

If you love truth, you may want to say no! For in his book Soul Tsunami, Dr. Sweet, a popular leader of the Emerging Church, tells us to flow with the currents of change and leave God's unchanging gospel behind. "Postmodern culture is a change-or-be changed world," he continues. "Reinvent yourself for the 21st century or die. Some would rather die than change." [4]

Rick Warren is a globalist. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, an organization that plans a global religion to help create the one world state they have worked to establish for decades. Warren's P.E.A.C.E. initiative is all about cooperating with the UN to work in 3rd world nations to end the AIDS epidemic, but IMHO reading between the lines indicates that it's other unannounced purpose is to bring all nations and religions into one false global "Christian" religion under one dictatorial globalist government. Does that sound like anything you may have read about in the book of Revelation?

What's the big deal? Pastors like Warren and Osteen are just the latest in a long line of American hucksters who are making big (tax-free!) bucks off Je$u$. After all, He's the biggest brand in the world, amirite?

From where I stand, these megachurch Midases are not so much False Prophets as they are theological versions of Ray Kroc — franchise operators selling self-centered spiritual fast food to suburban Christians who are (unknowingly) desperate for a taste of the True Bread.

Amen. Pray we must.

These one world religion fluffs who think they are going to be big shots when it all pans out ought to consider that the Marxist, atheistic regime of China has been working double-overtime to control and dominate the western economy and may well be calling the shots as the one world government gathers strength. China could pull the plug on us at any moment--they don't care for their own and they certainly could care less about us--they just want power and money (I'm referring to the government, not the Chinese people many of whom are oppressed by the regime). The regime kills their own, if they profess Christ and don't go along with the system; I'm not sure what all this means, but we better all cling to Christ and profess faith in him til the end and "Be ready for persecution" for the sake of the Gospel.

I'm afraid it goes much deeper than that. Of course money has a strong allure for a religious leader who likes living the so-called "good life" and/or wants to make waves on the world scene, but IMHO these Warren-type leaders of fast growing mega-churches have a more disturbing goal in mind than merely becoming wealthy and famous. After all, since Warren's books have become best sellers and earned him millions he has given back to the Saddleback church all of the salary that he was paid since he became pastor and no longer accepts a salary or reimbursement for expenses. Of course that money is probably chickenfeed compared to the money coming in from the sale of several million books.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that while I think Warren is dead wrong in his idea of spreading the gospel worldwide by ecumenism, (by which I mean creating alliances with religions other than Christianity, not necessarily protestants with Catholics) and cooperation with globalist organizations such as the CFR and the UN. I don't want to accuse him of being a false Christian or even a real Christian who is unknowingly advancing Satan's agenda for the soon to appear Antichrist and his False Prophet sidekick. But I do think that it is very possible that he and other popular megachurch leaders like him are being used by sinister spiritual powers who see them and their non-traditional type of pop culture "ministry" as a means of helping establish the prophesied end time global false "church" that Jesus Christ will destroy at His second coming.

Actually, I'm having a lot of trouble putting into words my uneasy feelings about Warren and other modern megachurch "leaders" of his general type. I just have an uncomfortable feeling about him and a few others that I can't really explain, but which I believe may possibly, and I stress "possibly", be the Holy Spirit ringing a fire alarm bell in my mind and heart.

I may be wrong about Pastor Warren and his type, and it may be due to my upbringing. I come from a long line of old-time fire and brimstone Baptist preachers and itinerant horseback evangelists who planted churches and preached to settlers in the 19th century Florida wilderness, and who had a powerful influence on the beliefs of my entire family and through them on down to me. And I suppose that may be why I have a built-in suspicion of anything claiming to be a Christian ministry that runs counter to that influence.

I have no strong opinion on Mr. Warren or his ilk but I do believe that peaceniks are mistaken in their quest for world peace. Peace is a side effect of many other factors, one of the most important of which is righteous living. It is a gift of God when we deserve it. When the ultimate goal is peace, then the so-called peacemakers can only achieve their goal by kowtowing to those who don’t want peace except on their terms. Make no mistake, Chicoms, radical Muslim groups, environmentalists and others will gladly grant us peace if we will but do their bidding.

So you're saying we can have peace if we will just convert to Islam or accept the yoke of dhimmihood from the Muslims, or adopt Marxist Communism under Chinese rule, or allow the environmentalist whack jobs to take over the country and force us live like primitive Native Americans lived 1000 years ago?

True peace means peace with Jehovah God, and that peace was purchased by His only Son Jesus Christ on a Roman cross 2000 years ago, not by Karl Marx, Mao tse-Tung, or the Sierra Club, and certainly not by a demon called Allah or his goat herder prophet Mohammed.
