The Rapture, Promise Of.....
MSMB ^ | July 28, 2008 | Rob W. Case

Posted on 08/17/2008 2:33:37 PM PDT by Making_Sense [Rob W. Case]

The purpose of this presentation is to provide to you, in a potent way, the whole idea of the rapture and bring you the scope as to why the rapture is completely necessary in today’s environment.

First off, the whole idea of the rapture is one of those things which requires faith. Since we are not accustomed to witnessing radically supernatural occurrences the way ancient Jews did, it is somewhat difficult for a skeptic to comprehend the reality of such radical things happening like that today. But just because it sounds radical and unrealistic doesn’t mean that it is so. After all, a promise is a promise, and if God promises something, then you can count on the fact that He will make good on them. After all, he made good on all the old ones in the sense that he promised that he would send us his son. We all know that son to be Jesus. Jesus not only fulfilled all of the prophecies in which we could correctly identify Him when he was on earth, but he is the only one who conquered death. There are no remains of Jesus Christ left here on earth. Every other religious leader known to man has a tomb that conceals within it a body. As for Jesus, there is the tomb (today displayed within the Church of the Holy Sepulcher), but there is no body inside. That is how we know that Jesus is THEE son of God and that He is the Messiah. But there is more. There are still more promises that have yet to be fulfilled, and by the time Christ returns to earth, you can be sure that He will make good on the remaining promises still yet to be fulfilled.

Unfortunately many ministers shy away from teaching their congregation about the whole idea of the rapture. They may think the topic is too divisive in regards of how people interpret scripture, or they might shy away from it because of it's unusual (by our standards anyway) subject matter. It is for this reason I sought to tackle the subject with direction from the Holy Spirit to deliver at my Church. What you are about to read are the entire contents of the message that I gave on July 13th, 2008.

Feel free to relay the message to anyone and everyone you know!! Paste the web link in an e-mail and send an e-mail blast to your friends. I have the fullest confidence that you and your friends, and loved ones (whether believer or non-believer) will be really amazed. Enjoy!!!

That's kind of silly. The fact that there is no body is one of the weaker reasons why we know Jesus is the Son of God. There are lots of people known to history for whom we have no body, that doesn't make them sons of God.

Christ talked about the times that he was going to walk into when he returns. They are not good times. They are times of wars and rumors of wars (Matthew 24:6). They are times when people, even Christians, would be bitter towards other people, and people would hate each other (Matthew 24:10). They are times when fanatic religious groups without the Bible or the Spirit as their guide, would come out of the woodwork and dupe people into following them (Matthew 24:11). They are times which would be corrupt (Matthew 24:37, Genesis 6:11). They are times of peril (2 Timothy 3:1), as many world leaders become dangerous to levels unlike anything seen since the beginning of this earth (Matthew 24:21).

Is there a time in human history that the above description does not fit?

Meanwhile as all these things continue to materialize in newer and darker strains, there are individuals in high places trying to assemble a one world government, paving the way for a leader who can control all tribes, languages, peoples, and nations (Revelation 13:7).

Hitler, Stalin, Ancient Rome, Alexander the Great, Napolean.. a lot of people could have fit that description better than today's one worlders.

This is achieved within the political process. In fact, the United Nations contains these exact characteristics and their goal is to strive towards a single global order. You can be sure; it’s not that it is going to happen. It is, and has been happening since 1948 and it continues to do so now, but with more intensity, more than ever before.

If you follow the healdines, Globalism has been on the wane for the last year or so with the economic troubles.

I just want to thank you for being honest enough to identify yourself as the author of the article. That doesn’t always happen here.

There are many things yet to be fulfilled concerning the Old Testament promises and prophecies too.

Okay, that’s funny! However, irrespective of his theological perspective, I still think the O.P. deserves credit for full disclosure.

Christians are the reason that evil has not taken over the world. Look in Europe where there are fewer and fewer Christians. You see more and more immorality and less and less individual kindness. You see good people jailed for defending their homes and lives while the criminals who rob and assault them are rewarded. Yes, the Rapture MUST happen before the antichrist can come to power because God know that we will oppose the antichrist and with power of the Holy Spirit we will prevent it.

Just think of all the foolish women who are following Oprah’s style of religion? It’s happening now! People follow what tickles their ears, not what God’s Word says.

Someone tell me where is the tomb of Buddha? Of Zoroaster?

Buddhists cremate. Zoroaster exposes bodies to the vultures.

Where is the tomb of St. Paul? St. Peter?

In general, bodies from 2000 years ago are usually missing. It is a rare corpse that is preserved. So some 199 million of the 200 million people in the world 2000 years ago are, by this logic, the Son of G-d.

There’s nothing silly about it. The tomb for where the body was placed was a specific tomb in a specific place, heavily guarded by Roman Centurion Soldiers. You’re trying to make it sound as though the account of the missing body (which was a direct result of the resurrection) is nothing more than a missing persons report.

The religious fanatics in those times made sure that a guard was guarding that tomb thinking that the disciples could steal the body and then say he rose from the dead. Centurion guards had to do what they were told. It’s not like today where people could get away with not doing their job. Back then, they would have been disciplined in ways you couldn’t have imagined. Also there was nothing the disciples would have gained if they did steal the body. He rose from the dead, and that is what makes him the centerpiece of history. There is no body, there are no remains. And left within us Christians is the Spirit that restrains the deepest levels of human evil that man is working hard to push.

Ron Jeremy Asked,”Is there a time in human history that the above description does not fit?”

My Answer: Yes and no. Yes, there have always been wars and rumors of wars. Yes there have always been cults, hatred, but this is where the no part comes in. Never before has the world been in the nearly united position that it’s been before. Never before has there been as many nations placing their sovereignty into the world body (the European Union) like never before. Never before has the reality of Revelation 13:7 seem so near, especially the last half of that verse where it says, “And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.” That can’t happen without a global world government, and the one way you can unite the world is to unite the economies. As for the case of the rapture, with the removal of Christians, this will occur practically overnight.

Ron Jeremy said, “Hitler, Stalin, Ancient Rome, Alexander the Great, Napolean.. a lot of people could have fit that description better than today’s one worlders.”

Sure, they may have been bent on world domination, but in each and every one of their eras, the world wasn’t as it is now. In Hitler and Stalin’s day, the latter-day nation of Israel wasn’t formed (a key prophetic event). In the days of Ancient Rome, America wasn’t even discovered. The world was isolated within a certain geographical area. Anyway, my point is; by the times that these guys were out conquering, the nations we know of today were not discovered or fully formed yet. A global power could not rule this way.

Also, take into account the technologies of those times. Today, it is easy for us to track every person on earth. Back then, they couldn’t. Think of the Wild West days in America, and how hard it was to catch an outlaw because of this fact.

Ron Jeremy said, “If you follow the headlines, Globalism has been on the wane for the last year or so with the economic troubles.”

That’s always momentary. The economy has always been high and low. Yesterday it was great. Today it sucks. The state of the economy is interchangeable as is world events.

witnessing radically supernatural occurrences the way ancient Jews did

IF they did.

he (He) promised that he would send us his (His) son. We all know that son to be Jesus.

Not the Jews, they don't accept him.

Did you see how you contradicted yourself?

Okay, first you’re saying IF they did, implying that they could have possibly LIED about what they saw, while at the same time you put great emphasis on the capital letters “He” and “His” showing respect for a higher being. Do you see how you contradicted yourself?

“We” obviously means Christians because Christians have regarded the fulfillment of the ancient prophecies. Jews rely mostly on the first 5 books of the Old Testament written by Moses. They do not accept Christ, one of which is because the whole purpose of Christ’s first coming was to signify the magnitude of God’s grace. They think you are saved by the Law. We, because of Christ are saved by Grace. Also, Jesus promised that He would rule and reign on earth. He did not do so at His first coming. That may be another reason why the Jews reject Him as their Messiah.

They think you are saved by the Law.

The concept of being "saved" does not exist in Judaism the way it exists in Christianity.

Buddha’s body was cremated and that the ashes from his body were distributed amongst prominent Buddhist Temples. I know some of His ashes are in India, and some of them are in China, but his cremated remains are split up in various areas. As for Zoroaster (a.k.a. Zarathushtra), the whereabouts of his body are unknown. Now, you might want to compare Christ to Zoraster, but you can’t. I’ve never heard of Zoraster prior to this post. In doing research, I found that Fredrick Nietzsche had a thing for this guy. He is an unknown. As a Christian myself, I will acknowledge that the most famous religions in the world are Christianity, Judiasm, Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism.

Zarathushtra is such an unknown, that scholars are unaware of whether he lived between the years 600 BC or 6000 BC. That makes an enormous difference. Zarathushtra also never rose from the dead. From what it looks like, the whereabouts of his body are unknown. As for Jesus Christ, he said that He would rise again and He did rise again. That was a promise that was fulfilled. Even according to the Bible, if Christ did not rise again, our faith would be worthless.

1 Corinthians 15:17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.

Futile means worthless. Wow, no wonder why so many people are always after the account of the resurrection.

As for your other question, Paul and Peter never had the honor of having their own tomb. They were both executed. Centuries later, after Emperor Constantine introduced Christianity to the Roman Empire, excavations were made, and the remains of the bodies of murdered Christians were then given a more respectable, or enshrined burial.

But still, Jesus rose from the dead. I believe it first because of my personal experiences with the Holy Spirit, and second, because it wouldn’t be said if it were not true. It all boils down to whether you believe God or you don’t.

Judaism requires a lot more fear and paranoia, as a ritual, or a sacrifice has to be done for each sin committed.

Thanks for your correction. I somehow had it that they were disciples before and Apostles after. I misplaced (its heck being old) the Great Commision prior to the crucifiction.

Sorry to distract.

Zoroaster is the traditional founder of one of the earliest monotheistic religions. They are much dwindled now, but their symbology informs much of Christianity. There is a ritual in the Parsee faith whereby one builds a throne, then sets it on fire. The only one who could sit in the fire is the Son of G-d.

Oh, and Ahura Mazda is not a car dealership, but rather is their counterpart to Jehovah, the good G-d, but slightly less powerful, yet still victorious.
