Really? What's so preposterous? you said I wonder what some of the authors do with the 144,000 Israelite evangelists in the end times . . . 12,000 from each tribe? --> now the Jews are God's chosen people who have stayed true to God's word continuosly for millenia. So, as the chosen people, they should be the ones saved and 144,000 is far too small a number for all the Jewish holy men and women, but still they'll pick straws. So, as the select of the Chosen people, the 144,000 will all be Jews.

the 12 tribes will
EACH

have 12,000 evangelists—from EACH TRIBE—IDENTIFIED BY NAME.

That does not say anything about how many other children of Jacob will be saved etc. etc. etc.

But evidently at one point in time, the ball will be played by the 144,000 Israeli evangelists.
