For some time, through FReepmail, several FReepers have provided each other with a way to share prayer requests and praises.

Now that the Non-denominational category has been established, we are offering a weekly thread in which posts of your requests and praises are welcome.

Anyone, regardless of denomination, is welcome to bring their concerns here.

The one thing that we hope to establish here, is that at a set time on Sunday evening, 11:00 p.m. in the Eastern time zone, 10:00 p.m. Central time, 9:00 p.m. Mountain time, and 8:00 p.m. Pacific time, we will as a group, lift these concerns up in prayer.

Individual prayer at any time is, of course, encouraged. People are asked to take a look at the posts and either pray a blanket covering / praise or pick out specific area where they have prophetic / discernment awareness / intercession of a request.

If anyone desires to post an "anonymous" request, just word it in a manner such as: " Please lift up my prayer (or praise) for a personal concern." Additional anonymity can be gained by sending a request or praise to svcw via FReepmail.

In the future, the weekly thread will be posted on Monday mornings in order for the concerns to be gathered through the week before they are compiled for the Sunday evening group prayer. This list will be available to all by around 4pm PST on Sunday.

If anyone has any additional ideas for this thread, or anyone would like to volunteer to help keep this thread going, please let us know.

Just as an example of prayer lists. When I was under going chemo for ovarian cancer in 1987, I had a particularly bad day. It was the only time I crumbled to the floor and sobbed. I received a phone call in the middle of this episode from my foster mother in Colorado, I live in California, who had just received a call from a young man in Texas who saw our names on a prayer list. He found her phone number (we still do not know how) and asked if he could pray with her about me. He wanted to lift not only me but her as well. My foster mom was so moved she called me to let me know someone I did not know was praying/interceding on my behalf. Praise God and prayer lists.

How timely.

I’ve had food allergies my whole life and on occasion they flare up worse than others and this is one of those times.

I’m allergic to most vegetables and some fruits and have had some pretty strong reactions lately; some of them delayed reactions where you have a second reaction the next day or two. That happens with me with stings, too.

I’ve never had it serious enough to require a trip to the ER but they sure can be pretty scary.

I would love to be able to eat well with lots of fruits and vegetables, but right now, that’s just not an option. The only answer for food allergies is healing because there’s no treatment for them.

Also prayer for my daughter’s job and college complications. She’s had a terrible time since she started almost two years ago and she really needs the money.

This was tried under the moniker “Christian Caucus” a couple of years ago, IIRC. The posters between the lines and knitting a conundrum were very involved in that, again, iirc.

I haven’t seen one of those posts in a long time.
