"For where two or three have gathered together in My name, "Matt 18:20 (Non-denom Devotional)

"For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God." Ephesians 3:14-19

Sometimes he rains too. In fact, I often am very grateful for His rains (living in a desert and all).

I’m just funnin’ ya. I’m glad to see you are human too.

:-D

We cannot earn God’s love, we can only receive it and say Thanks Lord!

Something I need constant reminding of.

I keep trying anyway and know I keep falling short. It's just part of our nature to want to help, I guess.

The hard thing is, I like to be in control myself too much and it's hard to give that up and trust someone else to do the job right, even when it's God. Like He's not going to do it right?

Maybe it's more that I think I'm not going to like how He does it. I have the nice, easy, convenient way all planned out already.

Even in lush NY, it can get pretty dry and we don’t have the plants that can tolerate it, so the rain we’ve gotten recently is more than welcome.

Now if He could send along some of that global warming.....

Desert me too.

When I sing that song I always think of rain, like pouring blessings and love but...

Well, amen and amen.

(First Verse) When peace, like a river, attendeth my way, When sorrows like sea billows roll; Whatever my lot, You have taught me to say, It is well, it is well, with my soul.

(Chorus) It is well (it is well) With my soul (with my soul) It is well, it is well, with my soul.

(Last Verse) And Lord, haste my day when my faith shall be sight, The clouds be rolled back as a scroll; The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall appear, Even so, it is well with my soul.

(Chorus) It is well (it is well) With my soul (with my soul) It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Thank you for that hymn. Our church does not do hymns very often and I REALLY, REALLY miss them. That is one of my favorites.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for the wonderful privilege of gathering together in your name, that you have come into the midst of us to hear our petitions for others. By Your Spirit comes healing of body, mind, and circumstance. All praise be to You, Lord. Thank You for being in our midst. Thank You for gathering our voices together from afar to petition Your Grace. Thank You for reminding us that in our weakness is Your strength made known. May the people praise You as they receive Your blessings in their lives.

What is that supposed to mean?

Do you realize that this is a devotional thread?

Please remove the insulting post 133 from our devotional thread.

We are a group of Christians who have shared a nation-wide prayer in a most loving way, and this is a nasty postscript to our caring experience.

Thank you.

Though I wasn’t able to participate last night, I read all the prayers this morning, and was comforted.

Thank you all for your love and generosity.

“Faith comes before the miracle.”

God will turn your weaknesses into strengths, and will sustain you in your efforts to “feel worthy.”

I think we all work on feeling “worthy” but since we are human and not perfect, it’s OK. If you have the DESIRE to have courage to ask for prayers in your own behalf, it will soon be fulfilled.

Since God knows your needs, you don’t need to post them unless and until you feel comfortable in doing so. And we are all with you!

I do not know what you mean - dying church.
Would you expand.
Your profile says you are Baptist, as a Baptist your are familiar with prayer meetings.
What is it that you need from the Lord that causes you to post this - dying church.
