You do realise that that was:
1. Code for Rome as Rome was the capital of the Emprie that was ruling the Jews and Peter didn't really want to bring the wrath of the Roman Empire down on the Church as yet?
2. That the city of Babylon which had persecuted the Jews 600 years earlier was now a mass of rubble, after having been devastated by the Persians?
