Caucus threads are closed to any poster who is not a member of the caucus.
If it says Catholic Caucus and you are not Catholic, do not post to the thread. However, if the poster of the caucus invites you, I will not boot you from the thread. The caucus article and posts must not compare beliefs or speak in behalf of a belief outside the caucus.

I’m not seeing what makes Calvary Chapel different from pentecostals.

How can a non-denominational caucus rightfully discuss a denomination ????????
Seems out-of-bounds to me.

According to the Caucus rules, I can "invite" you to participate in the non-denominational caucus even though you are a member of a recognized denomination.
Consider yourself invited.

It would apear that most non-denominalation believers are held together by FUNDAMENTALIST BELIEFS, no matter what church they attend.
Inerrancy of the Scriptures.
The virgin birth and the deity of Jesus.
The doctrine of substitutionary atonement by God’s grace and through human faith.
The bodily resurrection of Jesus.
The authenticity of Christ’s miracles.
Think of all the denominations that also believe these!

We belonged to a Calvary chapel for a number of years. Unfortunately, the pastor became sombody different when he had a large church instead of a small one, and after some issues weren’t resolved in a Christ like manner, we left.

I have been going to Calvary Chapel for about 10 years. I like it compared to the "traditional" churches. My impression, the people there are genuine and there is a good cross section as well. The people I know vary from well to do to Harley bikers and includes skate boarding kids. There are people going through hard times. What I like is you are accepted. Many people show up dressed in variety of different clothes. I will see people on Sunday dressed in biker outfits, blue jeans, t-shirts, shorts, lots of sandals/flip-flops and of course, the rare suit or dress type clothes.
I cannot go back to a "traditional church". One thing that tops it all, the teaching of the Word. Straight forward and unadulterated.

Seeing that I attend a military chapel, which by definition is nondenominational, I qualify to post on this Caucus. Is that correct?
I am posting xzins, who was an actual Army Chaplain for his input.
Just looking for clarification so I don’t break any rules.

If you’re starting a ping list, would you be so kind as to include me?
Thank you!

If I may speak:
I think some clarification/reconsidering of caucus might be helpful? Is the caucus designation meant to exclude anyone, or just provide a retreat from negative prosetylization? I feel kinda bad that nondenoms feel excluded. (I've learned long ago you can't argue theology with a nondenom in a forum, except to defend your own beliefs.)

Hey P-M, do you know what Calvary does for weekday children’s ministries? We have a program called Royal Rangers (similar to Boy Scouts) that it sounds like it would work with Calvary-type churches.
