That is not surprising given that mormonism has redefined the words and phrases of historic apostolic Christianity.
***
Redefined no I say restored to mankind what was taken from the Word because of the apostasy.
The example of all the various Creeds show that man was groping in darkness many used them like dualing swords.

Can you prove to me that all of the Lords manuscripts are included in the Bible?
When J. Smith ‘fixed’ the bible to replace those plain and precious portions that were allegedly removed, he never bothered to add these ‘missing’ books.
****
That was not the commandment of the Lord to Joseph Smith anymore than it was when Moses give the task to recap of what was contained in the first 5 books of Moses.
Also the Plain and Precious truths were contained in the Book of Mormon an as one read the Bible than were they sorely noted and missed.

Articles of Faith
The Articles of Faith outline 13 basic points of belief of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Prophet Joseph Smith first wrote them in a letter to John Wentworth, a newspaper editor,
in response to Mr. Wentworth's request to know what members of the Church believed.
They were subsequently published in Church periodicals.
They are now regarded as scripture and included in the Pearl of Great Price.
THE ARTICLES OF FAITH OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS History of the Church, Vol. 4, pp. 535541
- We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
- We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.
- We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
- We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
- We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
- We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
- We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
- We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
- We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
- We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
- We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
- We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
- We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of PaulWe believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
Joseph Smith |
Definitions of creed:

- Any system of principles or beliefs
- Religious doctrine: the written body of teachings of a religious group that are generally accepted by that group
- A creed is a statement or confession of belief usually religious belief or faith.
- A statement of religious beliefs agreed by the church to be true.
- A system of religious beliefs, including moral or ethical beliefs about right and wrong, that are sincerely held with the strength of traditional religious views.
- A statement of faith binding upon a given religious body.
- A statement of faith.
- A formal statement of religious belief/proclamation of faith

In order to speak for the Lord one must have received the Keys to the Kingdom or they have no authority. Not true; according to the Bible:
NIV 1 Thessalonians 2:4
On the contrary, we speak as men approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please men but God, who tests our hearts.
NIV 2 Corinthians 13:2-3
2. I already gave you a warning when I was with you the second time. I now repeat it while absent: On my return I will not spare those who sinned earlier or any of the others,
3. since you are demanding proof that Christ is speaking through me. He is not weak in dealing with you, but is powerful among you.
NIV 1 Peter 4:11
If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
NIV Romans 15:18
I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done--
NIV 2 Corinthians 2:17
Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, like men sent from God.
NIV 2 Corinthians 11:6
I may not be a trained speaker, but I do have knowledge. We have made this perfectly clear to you in every way.
NIV Philippians 1:14
Because of my chains, most of the brothers in the Lord have been encouraged to speak the word of God more courageously and fearlessly.
NIV 1 Peter 3:15-16
15. But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,
16. keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.

How LONG shall we put up with you!
You KNOW that the JST is NOT finished yet!!!
How can the Living Prophet® put his Imprimitur on it?
We are WAITING for the LORD to give him the go ahead to FINISH this great work.
THEN we will toss aside our beloved KJV (flawed as it is) and totally embrace the JST - finally - in ALL of it's GLORY!!!

Thanks for the heads up : ) Elsie and I go way back.
Did you know that Elsie is probably a guy? He stated that the use of the name Elsie was to elicit sympathy. Elsie will neither confirm nor deny that now.
To: LeGrande
He stated that the use of the name Elsie was to elicit sympathy. You've said this a lot.
Can you PROVE it?
Got any CONTEMPORANEOUS data to be seen?
