>>I think the RCC doctrines are a product of the enemy<<
Please tell us where we stand here. Examples welcome, but I'm not sure that actual names can be used when quoting another FReeper, so date and thread title may be better.
I wish some people could learn reading comprehension as it says NO SUCH THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please ping me when some Catholic actually posts that you, irishtenor is going to hell. I want to see it.
When I had my first heart surgery, we had a wonderful nurse that was Catholic, but she made it a point to tell us she was a saved Catholic. Great young woman.
Fantastic! I think you are the first person to quote from the CCC that actually linked.
The “Offensive” passage is taken from 2 Pet 1:4. I guess the problem is with Peter.
I think my mom did not think Catholics are Christian. She was raised Southern Baptist and had a fit when my brother married a Catholic girl.
I think that Catholic girl changed my mom’s opinion. My brother and her were married over 25 years until he passed away from cancer. My sister-in-law was a wonderful wife to my brother and endured his cancer with him almost their entire marriage. She lives close to my parents in Dallas, and she helps them more than I do (I live in California and have 3 young kids).
Anyway, my sister-in-law is wonderful and I think her kindness changed my parents opinions about Catholics.
Indeed. And Catholics prefer their fruit to be fresh and not withered with the rot of bigotry and hatred.
5 SOLAS!
Amen Brother.
If a church teaches that more is required than believing The Gospel are they Christian?
That’s wonderful!
My favorite Aunt was Methodist. Everyone in the family loved her.
The church was packed the day of her funeral. She was a fine lady. She was Christian, you could tell by her fruits.

Sorry for the double posts!
What about this Catholic?

Are Catholics Christians?
I already have that joy, Big ol freeper. It came when I gave my heart to Him in answer to his drawing me to Himself. I have Him every day in communion with Him, by reading His Word, by prayer and supplication. I don’t need the Roman Catholic Church for that. No church can bring me as close to Christ as He does Himself by His very presence.
God did what He needed to do for me to be saved. I received Him into my life, answering His call. You DO have to do something. You have to say YES to Him.
B-16 said protestants are not true Christians.
My point is that you said he said something totally different than what he actually said. It is this twisting of quotes and different understandings that make me wonder how many people even know what they believe and why, do they twist scripture the same way? Or do they just assume everyone else is ignorant and try to make a point any way they can.
But once you’ve said “yes,” is it possible to ever say “no?”
Yeah there’s weirdos in every group.
I’m sorry that you have not been able to open your heart and mind to the Holy Spirit. It is truly my prayer for you, with love, that you do.
What you have now, while wonderful, pales in comparison with the joy you would experience by overcoming the obstacles put in your path to full unity with Jesus Christ, which I know you truly desire.
NAsbU Zechariah 14:16 Then it will come about that any who are left of allshalom b'SHEM Yah'shua
the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year
to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Booths.
You said: B-16 said protestants are not true Christians.
Be careful there my friend. Putting words in people’s mouths is a form of false witness. He said no such things. He said the various protestant churches were defective (which they are). He never said protestants were not “true” Christians.
Better than that believe The Gospel.
