It is a well established fact that over 100,000 French Calvinists were slaughtered during the St Bartholomew's Day Massacre, so the above claim is obviously incorrect..

Yep. Men, women and children over the course of a few days, pulled from their beds while sleeping and slaughtered for believing in grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

100,000 is the highest estimate. 10,000 is the low. The real number is probably in between.

As a catholic I cannot ignore the fact that this happened, and I will not try to defend it. It was a senseless slaughter, period.
