Seven, your "ecumenicalism" has advanced light years overnight. Here's we've been saying all along that God would not let the mainstream doctrine of the church fall into overwhelming error...nor would God allow the church to be led astray.
And you've come right out and confirmed our stance. (Thank you!)
Oh...I just realized...you were talking about the post 1830-OH-MO-IL-now Utah-based "church" and I was talking about both the pre-1830 and post-1830 universal church.
So explain it to us all again how it is that it's impossible (your words "not possible") for a Mormon leader to allow doctrinal error into the church, but when it came to the Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant church bodies, well, they were rife with error per Mormonism?
Then please further explain to us all again how it is that God suddenly got a backbone in the 19th century and to use your words, "doesn't let them lead the church astray," these past 175 years...
...but for the previous 1,500 years it was a "piece of cake" for God to not only allow leaders to have led the church astray, but he allowed the entire church to be carted off & hauled away by the forces of darkness...who apparently decided to take the church on a longggggg vacation while God busied himself with other hollowed worlds.
ALL: This is what we call a cultwashing "disconnect"--where all logic applied to the exact same situation undergoes a temp braindrain.
How dare you expose the duplicity in cultish mormon thinking! /sarc
you spelled HALLOWED wrong.
If God would not allow the church to be lead astray, then it was never in a state of "Total Apostasy"* and hence never needed to be "restored".
*If John the Apostle and the Three Nephites never died, then how was it that the authority of the church was taken from the earth? Of course that could possibly be explained if John and the Three Nephites were now residing inside the Hollow Earth.
Hollow Earth Ping to Gamecock.

That make me feel much better, knowing that there is no great apostasy because God will not let the church go astray. I'll sleep much better knowing that.
