Paul a sexist???? That is remarkable. Yes, he wanted cultural norms followed where appropriate (the old keeping quite argument), he was also in the forefront of women leadership, openly praising Lydia, Phoebe as an official appointee—a deaconess. Paul’s phrase, “our sister”, he used Priscilla to play a major role in discipling/teaching the gifted Apollos. Women were obviously allowed to prophesy in church and women were obviously allowed to pray audibly in church.
