The truly interesting thing is that this is all just a repetition of what happened in Kirtland, and Far West, and Nauvoo and so many places in between. The fortunate thing is this internecine warfare happens now on the Internet and no one gets killed.

However the outlines are the same. The Mormons would move into an area en masse, and when the inevitable frictions arose, they would claim persecution and a militia would be formed. In the meantime, Apostates would become disillusioned and a force to push them along to the next county or state.

Now I don’t wish to justify this pattern, only to point out its eerie existence.
