Well they do have Joe as part of the path to salvation. To their credit, it is not in Jesus role, just the check point before you are allowed into his grace. And that is according to Brigham Young and others, not well known “Mormon Haters”, unless the LDS is prone to naming their major University after one of their enemies.

I am still trying to figure how that works, why after all the trouble of sending his son to simplify salvation, he would add back a step to salvation out of no where 1800 years later.

Of course there are other issues. I am still trying to get tickets for a tour of the Nephite ruins and see the Jewish Indians...

In the mormon temples they sing songs of worship about Joseph Smith..

And not about Jesus...

In fact the mormons equate the death of Joseph Smith in the Gun Fight at the Old Carthage Jail as equal to the death of Christ Jesus on the Cross..
