On the contrary, referring to Mary as "Mother of God" elevates Jesus Christ.Ah. So Christ needs Mary in order to elevate Him to the Godhead.
Fascinating.
Error upon error.

Hm, wasn’t he ALREADY God? Or did he become God after Mary bore him?

Ah. So Christ needs Mary in order to elevate Him to the Godhead.No. Do a little research on the council of Ephesus. There were a good number of Christians at that time that didn't believe in the divine nature of Christ or that Jesus and God are one. This title put that into perspective in order to make sure that it was known that Jesus and God are both, as Jesus said it ... "I AM."

If that was the case why didn't Christ ever call Mary His mother, He always used the term 'woman'.
