Father is a perpetually professed priest member of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity.
The pillars of father's preaching are basically three:
Father Corapi's audio and video series on the Catechism of the Catholic Church entitled The Teaching of Jesus Christ has been widely acclaimed and is used throughout the world as a course in religious education and catechesis.
The essence of Father's message is the essential message of Jesus Christ. It is Good News: a message of truth and goodness, love and mercy. It is above all else a message of hope. Father is available to preach retreats, missions, and conferences:

I had not heard about him being ill. I will pray for him. I know what he is going through having in the last 2-3 years had 2 skin cancers, a merkel cell carcinoma, diagnosed with non-alcoholic cirrohsis, hypertension and diabetes. It has only made my faith stronger. My wife and I really enjoy watching him on EWTN. His explanations of the catechism made it much easier to understand. God be with him.
I’m not Catholic, but I’ve always enjoyed and benefited from listening to Fr. Corapi. I didn’t know he was ill. Prayers for his recovery.
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.
Added note: Corapi does seem to have the “luck” to become involved in
some complicated medical stories.
I don’t recall all the details, but IIRC, he was a patient that helped
expose a group of surgeons that were doing unnecessary heart surgeries
in California.
Wikipedia doesn’t go into detail, but does seem to confirm my vague
recollection:
“
According to the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud, Fr. Corapi was
instrumental in exposing an alleged scam in which patients were advised
to have unneeded heart-bypass surgery [2]. The coalition described him
as a “priest-turned-whistleblower” and a “a key figure in a probe over
whether heart surgeons had performed hundreds of worthless heart operations”.

One of the priests that was to attend, and give a series of talks broke his nose just before coming down to Florida. So he brought this young, fresh out of seminary priest, Father John Corapi.
Father John was instrumental in my conversion in a major way.
I came home from Florida, and gave some tapes to my girlfriend. I said “You gotta check out this priest. He’s like no one else I’ve ever heard”.
Later, after I had come into the Church, and my girlfriend and I had married, we had our first daughter. There were some complications, and the baby was confined to the incubator, and my wife to her room.
I heard that Father John was in town giving a retreat, so I called the rectory of the Church, and left a message for him to pray for my wife and daughter.
A few hours later, my wife hears a knock on her hospital room door, and a familiar nasally Hudson New York accent saying “Can I come in – it’s Father John”.
He actually got to hold my daughter and bless her, before my wife ever got to hold her.
We used to call him up when we had theological questions we could not answer. We called it “dial-a-theologian”.
Then Father John started to be used by God in a big way, and we lost touch with him.
Be assured of our families prayers for him.
Amen.
Wow, that’s an amazing story! (Beats mine about shaking hands with old President Bush, when he was old Vice President Bush :-).
I didn’t know Father Corapi was sick. I’ll pray for him.
That’s quite a story. What a blessing.
I just love to listen to him. I’m almost as spell-bound as when Bishop Sheen used to give his lectures. What a legacy and what a man!
May God protect him so we can enjoy him for many more years.
As a new Catholic I find him not only interesting but easy to understand as he never assumes that I know anything; he covers it all right from the ground up. I think even when a person does know (or thinks she knows) the basics, it is a good thing to start from the basics and make sure the building stands on a firm foundation.
I had an Old Testament professor at the Bible college I attended (we had mandatory Old and New Testament courses) who taught in our small Theatre in the Round and like Fr. C he made the Bible come alive. I really believe Moses would have welcomed him as a good right arm.
Prayers up...
Fr. Corapi is one of the bright lights on a channel FULL of bright lights. I’ll add him to my prayers. thanks for the post.
Prayers for Fr. Corapi's restoration of health and return to apostolic preaching!
Perhaps one day you will share your story with all of us. May our Lord bless you on your journey!
Thanks for all this info.
He’s quite a guy.
Prayers for Fr Corapi.
