And that's just the problem with many people (and, I do need to include you in this list) who read snippets from the Bible and then misinterpret them or read them partially.

That's exactly why sola scriptura fails: someone says "You don't see the little snipe Quix said" and another person reads only the 4th,5th and 6th words to come up with their own interpretation.

You, Quix, have demonstrated the need for The Church, a community of 1 billion+ beleivers who learn from each other, not come to their own conclusions (and then probably state that there is no Trinity as it isn't mentioned in the Bible).
