Oh cry me a river of tears. As if we should feel sorry for an organization that is corrupt to the core and has itself persecuted non-Catholic believers for centuries.
This might work to bring in the bucks at the local parish hall but no thinking person will fall for that nonsense coming from a member of one of the most powerful organizations in the world today.
“Oh cry me a river?”
Cry yourself a river, genius!
The Church has been around long before you arrived and will be around long after you’re gone!
Let us know when the “gamecocks” learn how to play ball.LMAO
If that parish were in L.A., its offerings would be going to pay for some of the $600 million that was paid out on one single day by the L.A. Archdiocese as part of its massive priestly sex scandal.
And yet the Vatican is wealthy beyond belief. But it's the poor parishioners who get to foot the bill for the sins of those who call themselves "another Christ."

I think where you can draw the difference between 1930-40's Germany and past behavior is the RCC no longer had the power of the state behind it. Also, in the past the persecution was perpetrated on Christians who refused to be dominated by Rome. They justified that behavior because of their belief in exclusivity.
In Germany it was persecution of Jews, gypsies, political opponents and deviants. It was not an issue of Christian belief and authority.
