ROMAN CATHOLICISM: A DIFFERENT GOSPEL
In their lust for unity the Emergent Church and post-evangelical “Protestants” are right now embracing the Roman Catholic Church as another Christian denomination. But the issue is simple: If, as taught the Church of Rome, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without “the new birth in baptism” then we are now in hopeless contradiction with the Gospel contained in Holy Scripture.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1:8)
Speaking The Truth In Love
Let me make this as clear as I possibly can for the Roman Catholics who may read this work in Christ from Apprising Ministries. I personally am former member of the Church of Rome and care very deeply about those, such as the majority of my own family line, who are trapped in this apostate man-made system of religion known as Roman Catholicism. I also fully realize that what I say may sound “unloving” and possibly even “harsh.” However, there is just nothing that I can do about that. By not telling the Truth we aren’t doing anyone a service.

What specific blessings are we missing out on?
We call them ordinances because we do not believe they impart Grace. We do take them very seriously. For example we only Baptize those that have professed a belief in The Gospel and have declared Jesus Christ their Lord and Saviour.
If anything I would think you would argue we take these ordinances too seriously.
Does your church teach that RC's will be saved without baptism? Or does your church teach that baptism is required to be saved?
Baptism has always been taught as a precondition for salvation. The Catholic Church has always taught that, it is one of the seven Sacraments.
But it is by no means the only precondition.

What religion (I ask again) is that you speak of? What denomination are you?
Ya mean as in every other hour or every other day? At least every other week.
There are many thousands of Priests who leave the Catholic Church every year for one reason or other yet I hunt in vain to find “Protestants” who make it a habit to hunt them up and post propaganda pieces by, or concerning them.

big nurturing bossom of the MOTHER church and
THE EARTH MOTHER IDOL figure
. . . even those of us under-nurtured by mommy somehow manage to cope otherwise than running to an EARTH-MOTHER EDIFICE and EARTH-MOTHER archetype.
And, I think we expect folks to search Scripture themselves. Beating the bushes trying to post examples of priests who had the good sense to pay attention to Holy Spirit’s enlightening them is just not our priority.
Though . . . endless RC posts of such ilk could eventually change my mind and sensibilities on such scores. Alas, it’s just too low a priority given so many other higher ones.

The many who masquerade as teachers imbued with the authority of the Paraclete here astounds. They have no credibility, they are the tinny and small sounds of the gnat buzzing in the night. The Light of the World gave us the Apostles to teach us the very Word that He also gave us. I will listen to the Apostles and their legitimate successors - not the legion of small and tinny voices trying so hard to be an authority and yet having none.
No authority, no credibility nothing of value. Disputatious and irrelevant.
So you’re telling me that the Sacrament of Baptism does not exist in the Catholic Church?
Please provide your evidence because I’ve had it with people on FR for the past 10 years (who have never set foot in a Catholic Church) tell me the basics of MY faith. I’ve participated in many baptisms so I must have been doped up during those times. I’ve been a Catholic for 44 years & a Franciscan and this is news to me.

We Prottys goof plenty . . . but on the whole, we aren’t idiots. We have a lot of good insights on Christianity in general and even on the RC edifice. As the Chinese say—it’s the onlooker who sees the game the best.

HOGWASH. We are here to point out blasphemous, idolatrous hogwash of a danger to souls . . . particularly to the lurkers given that the dyed-in-the-wool folks already know everything.

Warning folks about blasphemous idolatries is pretty important Scripturally . . . Old and New Testament.

Speaking only for myself—NOT AT ALL. There are dozens—actually 100’s or 1,000’s of EASIER, MORE FULFILLING AND MORE FLATTERING ways to get ego fulfillment.

UHTTM: UNMITIGATED HOGWASH TO THE MAX
A) The RCC edifice vilifies itself routinely better than we could ever do in our limited time and with our limited efforts.
B) Our own faith is fully justified in Scripture and in our experience walking with Jesus and His Spirit.
We don’t DESPERATELY NEED OR OTHERWISE NEED all the rituals, NURTURING BOSSOM EARTH MOTHER ENGULFING MAGICSTERICAL AND THE NURTURING BOSSOM EARTH MOTHER ARCHETYPE IN MARY to help us feel comfortable around God. Daddy is OUR DADDY and He’s the BEST of everything of all that is. We prefer to avoid Suzy come lately’s . . . err . . . Mary come lately’s . . . with all the evolving every so many centuries . . . a new blasphemous idolatrous Maian dogma . . .
6. Actually, the RC edifice and it’s successful political power mongering never fooled God for a second. Usurping political power will NEVER substitute for Holy Spirit anointing . . . not with the RC edifice and not with TV evangelists.
You've kinda confirmed my impression of you tas, you are just looking for an excuse to get personal and insulting. Show the wide world your vast capabilities and prove that the simple act of sharing ones faith and any refusal that the refusing party(eis) are being sent to exile Soviet Siberia. Waiting...... still waiting....... don't see you being marched off to a concentration camp yet........ still waiting....... However, you comment above is what I would expect from someone I would expect to support such action, and not Mary's :)
