I got an email from my wife (a high school math teacher). One of the girls in her advisory class is being put under a lot of pressure to have an abortion. Don't know alot of the details, but she could use our prayers.

This pathetic grandmother has no idea what she has just done to her grandchild, her daughter and any type of relationship that they could have had. She will more than likely be resented forever. The baby is dead, and now the mother has to live with what she did.
"Dear Lord, have mercy on this young woman and her deceived mother. Please give Redgolum's wife the words this girl will need to find Your Mercy and Forgiveness and the ability to turn her life around. Amen!"
To do anything less would make me a hypocrite. The girl and her baby will be taken care of and I can promise the money will be there.

Would it be immoral of me to even offer the girl a cash gift to NOT abort her baby?
That is a hard one grandma. Cash would certainly help her out should she decide to keep her baby, but it is poor incentive in becoming a mother.
I know that certain individuals DO pay the expenses of young women who wish to give the baby up for adoption after it is born.
My niece is on an adoption waiting-list. How I wish for her to have the opportunity to love a child.
BTW, my 17 year old daughter found herself pregnant. She kept the baby and thirteen years later I have three wonderful grandsons and a son-in-law. Everything turned out okay. It certainly can!
Oops. I meant my question for redgolum but I thank you for your kind reply. Actually, I meant cash to not kill her baby in addition to all expenses. Something needs to make an immediate impact on her.
You must be careful grandma, that your cash would not be used to further this young child’s destruction.
You should structure it in such a way that it would be truly helpful to the girl and child....that it would NOT be used to abort, or for drugs etc.
It sounds as if you are very wise with your money. I’m sure you can find a way.
You are truly a gracious, kind, loving and generous woman. God has touched you in a profound way and made you an example to us all.
This is an emergency. We have to do what we can to save the life of this baby and also save this girl from a life of guilt and regret.
God, Father God, how You love each one of us! You have purposed each of our lives before the foundation of the earth and while pregnancies may be an inconvenient surprise to some, no pregnancy is a surprise for You. Even when our actions outside Your will lead to pregnancy, it is not the end as society would have of believe. A life is not ruined. It is the beginning. You promise that You will use ALL things in the lives of those who serve You for good. You are LOVE. You are Mercy. And Your purpose in ALL things is to use them to restore us back to You for all eterntiy - to draw us closer, using the storms of our lives to bring us to that breaking point where we realize our need for You, accept You as Savior and Lord or come into greater intimacy. This is exactly how You desire to use this circumstance. Cause this young girl to be surrounded by other Christian kids and adult advisors who believe in You so they can speak life to her and she can see the hope to which You are calling her instead of just the defeat. Lord God, we pray for her parents right now. They are deceived. Lord God, surround also the parents with other Christians who understand Your loving hand in every life. Lord God, where society says a life is ruined, before You no life is ever ruined. You will use each and every life regardless of circumstances for eternal purposes, to re-present You to the world, if we will only let You. Cause this young girl to find her way to Your Word. Cause her mother and father to meet other families who have faced the same difficulty and found BLESSING in having the baby. Cause them and their daughter to encounter others who have kept their babies or given them up for adoption, cause them to encounter those who ache to adopt a child. Lord God, what the enemy means for evil, You use for good. Orchestrate this heavenly Father. We will stay before Your throne reminding You of Your promises - how You love this unborn baby; how You love the parents; how You love the daughter. We wait to see what YOU will do to show Your Lordship. You are more powerful than the enemy. Show Yourself Sovereign. We wait in joyful hope and great expectation for what You, Father of all will do in this situation. We wait for word of how You use this to draw this family near. We wait for word of how eventually they may even be advocates for all unwanted pregnancies and spread the word. (Wouldn’t it be just like You, Lord, to use for Your Kingdom and Your glory and the eternal good of others something the enemy meant to kill and destroy.) We pray for Your special blessing and anointing on this unborn child In Jesus’ precious and holy Name, Amen.
I hope it is not too late. Seeing this post for the first time this morning. Immediate prayers being sent for the girl, the unborn baby and that God may soften her mother’s heart.
I lift her up in prayer - may she be comforted and guided by the Love of God...

I’m a pre-Roe abortion survivor. Got to meet the precious little lady that talked my birth mother into adopting instead of an illegal abortion.
I sure hope that something can be done.
I saw this post last night and simply couldn’t go to sleep thinking about that poor girl and her baby.
So glad you’re here. Pray for this girl and her baby.
