Now if they only would stop the singing...
and the “greet your neighbor” handshakes, and the holding hands during the Our Father, and the corny life teen mass with electric guitars and drum sets...the list goes on :)
That’s why I go at 7:30 AM. Short and sweet, usually without hymns and virtually always done by 8:00 AM even for Christmas and Easter.
True story:
Went to a dinner party with old friends, and some new folks. One of the newer ones is the head of music at our local Catholic school, and is the "organ grinder" for some of the Masses at my former church.
Oh, yeah, and she's a convert.
She was just RIPPING on all the "old" music, saying how boring it was and how she's trying to get it so all the music is new. She spent much time gossiping about local priests and music personnel.
I was so mad, we left early. I hate it when someone new to the church wants to change it around to their tastes. If she liked the Protestant music so much, why'd she bother to convert???? Grr..I'm still mad about it!

And that annoying Sign of Peace!
Personally, I'm annoyed by people who don't sing, by people who show up, barely pay attention and don't participate in any way.
Is THAT what they're doing? Well, that explains a lot!
