They believe that Joseph Smith was a Prophet, they follow the Book of Mormon, they follow the Doctrine & Covenants (even better than the mainstream LDS Church in regards to section 132). In fact I think these are the true believing Mormons.
You LDS insist that we Christians must claim you Mormons as Christian even though Mormonism doesn't believe in the same Christ, but these Mormons are not to be called Mormon because they still practice the law of Celestial marriage. You guys crack me up!

If this thread is like most others that have anything to do with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or as we are more often called, the Mormons, it will soon be taken over by those who, for reasons of their own, choose to put down my Church, and those of us who worship with it.
We find no problem with people who really want to talk to us about converting to their religion, we spend a lot of time doing it ourselves.
What we find offensive is when people leave out part of the truth to make a half-true lie , or when some one renames something, that we find important or sacred, so it sounds like gutter talk.
I do not know how to tell the difference all the time. There are some Handles that keep showing up, and they are easy to spot. Sometimes, though, I have given a hard and not so kind response to some who honestly care for us and our salvation.

I think you’re looking for any excuse to belittle Mormons.
Be careful. The day may come when you need the support of those “cultists”, when secularists decide that your faith is a danger to America, and try to shut you down.
Under LDS teaching they have a living prophet. This means that the prophet who changed the earthly law of polygamy in order to gain statehood was behaving within the bonds of his office. LDS does not claim there will be no further revelation after Jesus Christ. How could they when Joseph Smith provided a new revelation and restored the Church ( this is their teaching not mine).
FLDS are like the Sedavacanits who claim to be Catholic. They can say what they want but neither history or their Church teaching supports their claims.
I’m sure you know very well that ‘Christian’ is a classification that includes many denominations, and ‘Mormon’ is a term used to denote a specific denomination (check the AP style guide even). FLDS are not Mormons just as Lutherans are not Catholics. They are all separate denominations, why try to confuse that fact?
For God’s sake, CC, will you please stop distorting and perverting the truth. These FLDS people are evil nut jobs who have nothing whatsoever to do with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and you know it.
