‘Gideon’ isn’t a version, it’s a... well, a non-profit publisher, I guess. And as far as I know, it’s only “popular” with hotel furniture.

They used to use exclusively the KJV, but now use the NKJV version and others.
I was with the Gideons for quite some time in the past.
Anyone anytime can request a Gideon Bible, and one will be given to them.
Many people think if they take a Gideon Bible from a hotel that they are stealing it. That is not true. Anyone is free to take one from a hotel anytime they wish.
