Prophets teach us all sorts of things that we follow without them being in scripture. Where are 72 hour kits in scripture? Where is a year’s supply of food in scripture? Where is getting out of debt in scripture? Where is no tattoos in scripture?

Some of these things are even -gasp!- the will of the Lord - and cannot be found in scripture.

To understand it, you must comprehend the notion that we rely on modern, continuous revelation from God to guide and direct the Church. It’s tough to republish all that so often.
