Italian Rabbinical Assembly: Suspension of Dialogue (With Catholic Church)
Rorae Caeli ^ | 2/7/2008 | New Catholic

From the Italian daily Corriere della Sera:

Italian Rabbinical Assembly: "Pause for reflection in the dialogue" with Catholics

The opinion on the change of the Good Friday prayer: "An abandonment of the very conditions for dialogue"

ROME - And now, a rupture. The Italian Rabbinical Asseembly considers necessary a "pause for reflection in the dialogue" with Catholics after the modification of the Good Friday prayer for the Jews.

And it underlines that the modification decided by Pope Ratzinger is "an abandonment of the very conditions for dialogue". The Assembly states so in a note signed by its president, Rabbi Giuseppe Laras.

Really? How do the rest of "us" get this version?

Find any Bible that does not have the "Deuterocanonicals" in them and you'll be reading the Old Testament scriptures as spoken of by Our Lord. [Luke 24:44] And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Our Saviour was obviously not using the Septuagint in his declaration. He was using the Hebrew scriptures canonized by Ezra and Nehemiah and certified by Paul!

[Romans 3:1-2] What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.

The Catholic Church was never given any authority to canonize squat......but the Jews did receive that privilege. The Council of Jamnia had more divine authority to put things in their proper order than your outfit ever could hope for!

Very odd, you want me to take your word for discarding part of the Holy Writ. Why? What authority have you to do that? What denomination do you follow?

Diego....what denomination are you?

I don't have a denomination. I am a first century Christian preceding the Roman Church by about 300 years and the Protestants (Catholic Lite) by 1500 years.

I observe all the Festivals as outlined in [Leviticus 23] and God's Holy Sabbaths......the same as did the Apostles and early Christians.

LOL, since you have no denomination, no Apostolic authority and little or no scholarship behind your claims, I’ll part company with you trying not to snicker. Do try and open your mind to the possibility that you have been blinded to the truth. Once they open a little, ping me and I’ll suggest some reading that might help. But wait until your eyes open, please.

I'll try to get along without you. It'll be difficult at first....but I have great fortitude.

Your claimed "Apostolic" authority has already been proved false by the scripture I provided [Luke 24:44][Romans 3:1-2].
