I’ve seen “images” of Christ in Protestant churches as well. Many thousands of evangelicals flocked to see “The Passion”.

(’Holy Images’ is a misnomer - an inanimate object cannot be holy. Holiness is a status of the soul, for sentient beings)

You are being overly defensive. Lots of protestant churches are plastered with pictures of Jesus.

On the other end of the scale, most RC churches can't hold a candle to the EO for iconography.
