Who ever said Catholics sole focus is on "images/statues/stained-glass?" You are being overly defensive. Lots of protestant churches are plastered with pictures of Jesus.
On the other end of the scale, most RC churches can't hold a candle to the EO for iconography.

You are being overly defensivePerhaps. And you are, sadly, correct about RC churches, at least with RC churches built in the past 40 years or so.
