NORFOLK, Va. Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson predicted Wednesday that 2008 will be a year of violence worldwide and a recession in the United States, followed by a major stock-market crash by 2010.
Sharing what he believes God has told him about the year ahead is an annual tradition for Robertson.
On Wednesday's "700 Club" broadcast, the founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network predicted that evangelism will increase and more people will seek God as the chaos develops. Robertson said, "We will see the presence of angels and we will see an intensification of miracles around the world."
Last year, Robertson predicted that a terrorist act, possibly involving a nuclear weapon, would result in mass killing in the United States. Noting that it hadn't come to pass, Robertson said, "All I can think is that somehow the people of God prayed and God in his mercy spared us."

So is he predicting Rudy will lose?
“Last year, Robertson predicted that a terrorist act, possibly involving a nuclear weapon, would result in mass killing in the United States. Noting that it hadn’t come to pass, Robertson said, “All I can think is that somehow the people of God prayed and God in his mercy spared us.”
Predict doom.
If prediction correct, say I told you so. If not, God intervened. Why He should do so if we are hopeless sinners going to heck in a handcart is not clear, but never mind.....
All as a result of his endorsement of Giuliani?
As a devout evangelical Christian I must say that Pat Robertson is a nutjob. And a wicked one at that.
Seems to me he does far more to hurt Christianity credibility than help it.
Just STHU.
Maybe the poor man has a brain tumor.
God told me that Robertson is a hosebag.
Oh my.
I predict there will be world hunger, nations fighting other nations, evil will rule many peoples, and disease will run rampant. I feel safe with this since it’s been the case since the beginning of time.
Okay, so let me get this straight. Last year Robertson proclaimed that God told him a major terrorist attack, possibly nuclear, was going to result in mass death in the US, correct? And now, Roberston states that God has given him a new prophetic message, right? Well, first, by definition a prophet of God is always 100% right about all prophesies from God - or else they are a false prophet! And second, if God gave him a new prophesy for this year why would God withhold clarification of why last year's "prophesy" did not come to pass? Why would God not tell Robertson the reason mass destruction didn't occur? If God's people indeed prayed and intervened in the hand of God would that not be good news? Would that not be a message worth sharing, and an encouragement to continue to seek the face of God?
By biblical standard a prophet of God is always - 100% of the time - accurate in his prophesies. If a so called prophet of God is not 100% accurate he is a FALSE prophet.

Maybe God, in his mercy, can spare us of Pat.
Media Whore
And what a track record he has......
On the January 2, 2007 broadcast of The 700 Club, Robertson said that God spoke to him and told him that “mass killings” were to come during 2007, due to a terrorist attack on the United States. He added “The Lord didn’t say nuclear. But I do believe it will be something like that”
In May 2006, Robertson declared that storms and possibly a tsunami would hit America’s coastline sometime in 2006. Robertson supposedly received this revelation from God during an annual personal prayer retreat in January. The claim was repeated four times on The 700 Club. On May 17, he elaborated, “There well may be something as bad as a tsunami in the Pacific Northwest”.
Why do so many who claim to be knowledgeable spout this nonsense?!
God told Jonah to declare that Nineveh would fall in 40 days. It didn't happen. So there goes your "golden rule".
Isaiah told Hezekiah that he would die shortly. It didn't happen. So there again goes your "golden rule".
But according to you, one of the greatest prophets (Isaiah) is a false one. I'll leave it to others to explain why he's not.
“2008 will be a year of violence worldwide and a recession in the United States, followed by a major stock-market crash by 2010.”
Cheery. Happy? New Year
See my #18.
