YBPDLN Ping List Ping
I am not sure how a minister can preach after divorcing her husband for stupid psycho-babble reasoning she gave. Paula is better suited for a day time talk show host.
"Sobald das Geld im Kasten klingt,
die Seele in den Himmel springt!"
The indepentent audit appears to confirm that 81% of the unrestricted donations went to missions and soul winning outreaches.
I suppose it’s up to God as to whether that’s a high enough percentage, or not.
As to the Day of Attonement . . . not sure what to make of it. I think the article is a bit extreme.
I’m sure Paula is firm about Christ being our attonement.
Using the Jewish day to focus on the issue of attonement is not off the wall. Depends on how one construes it and what one makes of it in their hearts.
I realize that y’all are card carrying charter members of the
THROW BUCKETS OF ROCKS NOW
and ask questions later school of theology.
I do have some pretty convinced opinions about how God feels about THAT! LOL.
Sheer greed.
Who is Paula White?
I used to listen to her and her friend Jentzen Franklin, and both seemingly had very good sermons. But they can’t seem to show up on TV without trying their message into a money-making venture - I have NEVER seen them just give a good sermon, and sign off. They ALWAYS tie their message into some money making scheme. It’s like pleading for money is part of their very essence.
So as a result, I lost any respect I ever had for them, and any benefit I may have derived from their message. However, I DO like your idea about sending them a dead goat or something - that’s a very appropriate “donation” for them trying to dupe their viewers!
Do they send you any Miracle Spring Water (TM) for your atonement donation?
Paula White is wrong about atonement offerings. There is no need for atonement offerings, and no need to observe the Day of Atonement, because of Jesus’ death on the cross. And besides that, if there were still a need for the atonement offerings, we would have to give bulls and goats, not money (Leviticus 16).
All I needed to know about Paula White I learned when whe refused to stop preaching after her failed marriage was made public.
